ECIU Leadership Development Programme 2016


The final presentations of the ECIU Leadership Development Programme has successfully taken place at University of Aveiro on 28 October.

The University of Stavanger was represented by the following three participants in 2016; Håvard Hansen, Tarja Tikkanen og Henning Stokkeland Olsen.

This programme was launched in 2003 and since then more than 200 selected leaders have participated from the ECIU partner universities.

From the University of Stavanger, the following selected leaders have previously participated in this program.

Jayantha P. Liyanage, Chair of Centre for Industrial Asset Management (CIAM)
Karoline Høibo, Head of Office
Sissel Haugdal Jore, Leader of a Center
Kyrre Aas, Leader of EU R&D Unit
Kenneth Pettersen, Head of Centre for Risk Management and Societal Safety
Peter Schwarz, ECIU coordinator and Advisor for Alumni and Public Relations
Bjarte Hoem, Head of International Office

The main objective of the programme is to contribute to leadership development at the participating ECIU universities by providing a structured learning experience for a group of selected leaders/potential leaders.

The programme offers 20 participants drawn from the ECIU member universities a possibility to learn from their personal experience every year.

European Consortium of Innovative Universities

The ECIU is a consortium of research universities established in 1997. Today the foundation has eleven European members and a associate partner in Mexico. The University of Stavanger became a member of the consortium in 2012.
