All PhD candidates at UiS are welcome to sign up for our new skills course “Time and Stress Management for PhD candidates”.

Date: 29th November 2017, 09.00 – 16.00, including lunch.

The aim of this one-day programme is to help the participants become more aware of how they currently use and waste their time and to provide them with many techniques, ideas and best practices which will help them to improve their use of time and reduce their stress levels.

Presence is expected for the entire duration of the course. The maximum number of participants is 12, and we process the applications on a first come, first served principle. The deadline of application is 20th November 2017.

Our course instructor, Louise Rankin, has trained our PhD candidates for several years, and former participants have given her and the course very good feedback.

The course language is English.

Course methods:

The participants should be ready to discuss how and where they waste their own and others’ time and to acknowledge some of the less effective sides of themselves. Concrete exercises on solving these issues and on working effectively with the prioritising techniques will give them excellent skills on which to base their future time management.
