Linnaeus University International Staff Training Week 9.-13. June, 2014

It is our great pleasure to invite you to Linnaeus University International Staff Training Week, that will take place in Kalmar and Växjö, Sweden during 9-13 June, 2014.

The week will offer participants an opportunity to discuss and exercise intercultural communication, something that most of us are confronted with in our daily working life. In addition to the cultural training and increased knowledge about cultural intelligence, the programme includes meetings with faculty members and administrative staff of Linnaeus University. It is also an opportunity to discover the two campuses of Linnaeus University, situated in the cities of Kalmar and Växjö, as well as exploring the region.

The week serves as staff training, which can be funded through an Erasmus grant from your home university. If necessary, we can write a separate agreement to enable the staff exchange. Of course, all of our partners are warmly welcome to participate in this event. The minimum amount of participants is set at 10 and the maximum at 30. We look forward to having a great variety of nationalities and representation from different categories of employees, something we will prioritize if the number of applications exceeds 30.

For more information about the International Staff Training week and a glimpse from last year’s event, please follow this link. A preliminary programme and the application form are also found on that site.

Please send your application to by 28 February, 2014. There is no participation fee. Participants are expected to cover their own travel and living expences, e.g. through the Erasmus funds.
