ECIU Masterclass on Entrepreneurial Teaching and Learning for outstanding educators

SAVE THE DATES 9-10 April 2015.

Following the success of the 1st ECIU Masterclass, which gathered outstanding international educators for two days of stimulating and thoughtful discussion on Entrepreneurial Teaching and Learning, we are now pleased to announce the 2nd ECIU Masterclass to be hosted in Portugal, at the vibrant University of Aveiro, from 9th to 10th April 2015.

The focus of this years’ edition is on University-Industry Collaboration for Higher Education. The two day seminar is organized around three thematic panels: 1) Alignment of University Course Syllabi with Industry Demands; 2) University-Industry Collaboration in Teaching and Learning Processes; and 3) R&D and Technology Transfer Practices.

The seminar will also count on inspiring speakers offering: 2 keynote talks, three panel sessions, and workshops where participants can share their practices and engage in discussions to improve their competences, as well as find common research interests and opportunities for the development of further collaboration.

ECIU partners are invited to select outstanding educators to attend this seminar. Target participants’ profile include assistant, associate or full professors, experienced and engaged in the dialogue between academia and industry for the pursuit of higher education excellence.

Participants are expected to share their University-Industry Collaboration experiences by: actively engaging in the talks and panel sessions; and to contribute with a poster presentation for one of the two thematic workshops previewed in the programme. The purpose of the workshops is to provide a ground for sharing outstanding education experiences of ECIU partners, offering an opportunity for the identification of common research interests and avenues for collaboration in education and research.

There is no fee for attending the Masterclass. Each participant pays for his/her travel and accommodation in Aveiro (practical information on hotels will be given soon).

Full programme details available soon.

Interested candidates can contact their local ECIU coordinator, Bjarte Hoem, within 25. February. UiS can send two candidates, and Uniped will undertake the priority if necessary.
