SAVE THE DATE! Employability and transferable skills - Annual PhD candidates’ and supervisors’ seminar


The Department of Research and Innovation welcome all PhD candidates and supervisors at UiS to our annual seminar on doctoral supervision, 23rd of March, 2017 at Sola Strand Hotel. The aim of this year’s seminar is to highlight the importance of transferable skills and the role they play in enhancing the employability of PhD holders.

Only 1 in 10 of today's doctoral candidates in Europe will pursue a career within academia after graduation. The Department of Research and Innovation welcome all PhD candidates and supervisors at UiS to our annual seminar on doctoral supervision, 23rd of March, 2017, at Sola Strand Hotel, 09:00-13:00 followed by lunch. The aim of this year's seminar is to highlight the importance of transferable skills and the role they play in enhancing the employabililty of PhD holders. Confirmed speakers are professor Rune Johan Krumsvik from UiB, senior advisor Rakel Christina Granaas from Universitets- og høgskolerådet (UHR), and vice president Learning and Development Andreas Holst from Statoil. The final progam will be announced shortly.
